Walsh Welcomes Local Inventor for Visit of Capitol
Marshall Jones, a GE Global Research Employee, recognized for recent induction to National Inventor’s Hall of Fame
On Tuesday, Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C,I,Ref-Ballston) had the opportunity to meet with Marshall Jones, a Glenville resident and GE Global Research Employee who was recently honored for his accomplishments with an induction into the National Inventor’s Hall of Fame in Washington, D.C. The esteemed inventor’s career achievements were recognized with an introduction on the floor of the Assembly during the day’s session proceedings.
Jones earned this prestigious honor in May thanks to his work developing industrial lasers for General Electric. The inventor also boasts 55 patents, with even more pending. He is one of 15 nationwide inductees to the hall of fame this year.
“It was such an honor to have had the opportunity to meet with Marshall Jones at the state Capitol this week,” said Walsh. “Mr. Jones’ prolific career accomplishments promise to provide numerous technological benefits for many generations to come, and I congratulate him on this well-deserved honor.”
