Walsh Participates In Business Council Of New York State’s Legislators’ Roundtable Discussion
On Monday, September 14, Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C,I,Ref-Ballston) participated in the Business Council of New York State’s Legislators’ Roundtable Discussion at the organization’s annual meeting at The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing. The well-attended event, which featured Walsh’s legislative colleagues Sen. Fred Akshar, Assemblywoman Pamela J. Hunter and Sen. Jesse Hamilton, offered unique, bipartisan insight as to the business landscape of the Empire State, and encouraged participation from attendees as well. The conversation covered several topics, including workforce development, transportation, retaining good employees, consolidation and over-regulation of New York’s businesses, identifying several of the state’s successes, as well as many potential areas of improvement.
“Thank you to the Business Council of New York State for inviting me to participate in this year’s Legislators’ Roundtable Discussion, and offering me an opportunity to engage in an honest and productive dialogue with so many of our state’s business leaders,” said Walsh. “As a friend of our region’s businesses, I look forward to building on this positive momentum and prioritizing the needs and issues we discussed on Monday moving forward into the coming legislative year.”
