Last week, Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C,I,-Ballston) was sworn-in for a second term as a member of the New York State Assembly. Walsh will continue to represent parts of Saratoga and Schenectady counties, including the towns of Glenville, Providence, Greenfield, Galway, Milton, Charlton, Ballston, Clifton Park and Halfmoon, and villages of Ballston Spa and Scotia.

The swearing-in ceremony was administered by Hon. Paul Pelagalli and was held in the Saratoga County Family Court Room, where she has practiced Family Court Law and been a child advocate for the past 10 years.

“I am so honored to continue serving the families of Saratoga and Schenectady counties,” said Walsh. “Now more than ever, New Yorkers are counting on their elected officials to cooperate and build consensus on the issues that truly matter: delivering tax relief, rooting out corruption, and enacting term limits for our legislative leaders and committee chairs.”

Walsh has been named to the Minority Conference leadership team as the Vice Chair of Policy Development. She has been newly appointed as the ranking Minority member on the Committee on Education and will be a member of the Ethics and Judiciary Committees. She will continue to serve as a member of the Mental Health, Libraries and Education Technology Committees.
