Walsh Reacts To Legislature Overturning Executive Orders
A statement from Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C,I-Ballston)
April 28, 2021
“Today, the Assembly voted to overturn portions of executive orders issued by Gov. Cuomo during the pandemic. Some of these directives include removing the requirement to buy food with an alcoholic beverage, and rescinding vaccine administration protocols to ease restrictions to allow all individuals to be eligible, regardless of priority.
“The Assembly Minority Conference has been calling for the removal of the curfew on restaurants and bars, as well as the dismissing the requirement that food must be purchased with a drink, for months now.
“I’m glad to see the Legislature finally take action and begin rescinding a number of Gov. Cuomo’s Executive Orders. This brings us one step closer to returning to normal and one step closer to restoring greater authority back to the Legislature. It’s about time, but let’s not stop here. There’s more work to be done.”
