Assemblyman Durso Attends “Assembly Assemble Day” At Island Harvest Food Bank

New York State Assemblyman Michael Durso was joined by his Assembly colleagues at Island Harvest Food Bank for “Assembly Assemble Day” to help fill boxes with nutritious food which will be delivered to communities across Long Island.

“I want to thank Island Harvest, their incredible staff, and all of our Long Island assembly members who took part today in Assembly Assemble Day.It was great to see so many people come together for a common cause and do our small part to help fight food insecurity here on Long Island,” said Assemblyman Durso.“Over the past 24 months food insecurity has skyrocketed due to the pandemic; affecting people of all political backgrounds, religions, and races.By working together to fight hunger we are making a difference for a neighbor, family member, friend, or a coworker who needs to put food on their table.I want to especially thank Island Harvest President & CEO Randi Shubin Dresner for her tireless efforts and dedication to ending hunger on Long Island.”
