Assemblyman Durso Meets With Massapequa Park Cub Scout Troop 776
Assemblyman Michael Durso (R-Massapequa Park) recently met with Cub Scout Pack 776 of Massapequa Park to fulfill a scouting requirement to meet with an elected official.Visiting with Assemblyman Durso gave the Cub Scouts an opportunity to ask the Assemblyman questions about his job duties, what it takes to be a good citizen, and things they can do in the community to help others.
“I was happy to sit down with Cub Scout Pack 776 and take some great questions from these inquisitive kids,” Durso said. “We discussed activities they can do in their community to make a difference, how government works, and the importance of civic engagement.Thank you to the Scouts, the Den Leaders, and a big thank you to the parents for keeping their children involved in the community.”
After their hour-long Q & A, Assemblyman Durso presented each scout with a New York State Certificate of Merit.
