Assemblyman Durso Hosts a Free Veterans’ Pancake Breakfast & Resource Fair
Assemblyman Michael Durso (Massapequa Park) recently hosted a free veterans’ pancake breakfast and resource fair to honor local veterans and the sacrifices they have made for our great nation.
Along with a free breakfast, the event brought together numerous agencies that offer valuable services to the veteran community including Paws of War, Nassau County Veterans Service Agency, Long Island State Veterans Home, NYS Business Development Center for Veterans, Suffolk County Dwyer Project/Association for Mental Health & Wellness/ United Veterans, Island Harvest, Canine Companions, and so many more.
“We have a responsibility to support our veterans and make sure they have direct access to services they need like mental health support, jobs, healthcare, and food security,” said Assemblyman Durso. “Thank you to all the agencies that participated and a special thank you to our veterans for your sacrifice and service.”
If you were unable to attend this event and would like information on available veteran resources, please call Assemblyman Durso’s district office at 516-541-4598.
