Assemblyman Durso Announces Pet Food Drive in Partnership with Baxter’s Pet Pantry & Long Island Cares
***Media & Public Advisory***For March 1, 2023 through April 5, 2023
Assemblyman Michael Durso (Massapequa Park) is inviting the community to participate in his Annual Pet Food Drive to help families keep their pets out of shelters and remain at home where they belong.
Assemblyman Durso is asking community members and organizations to kindly donate unopened bags of dog and cat food, canned pet food and pet supplies. All items collected will be donated to Baxter’s Pet Pantry, operated by Long Island Cares, which provides free pet food and pet supplies to pet-owning families in need throughout Long Island.
“Our pets offer us unconditional love and companionship. However, for families on a tight budget, it can be a struggle to afford these extra costs,” said Durso. “Our annual pet food drive keeps pets healthy, safe, and at home with their family. I invite everyone to join our efforts to help our fury friends in need. Thank you for your continued support!”
Donations can be dropped off at his district office located at 512 Park Boulevard in Massapequa Park or at various other locations throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
