Assemblyman Michael Durso, in coordination with the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYSDFS), recently held a free Student Loan Workshop at Massapequa High School. A representative from the department’s Student Loan Resource Unit, discussed how to fill out the FAFSA, types of aid available to students and a variety of repayment options to keep loans current and avoid default.
