Assemblyman Durso to Host Blood Drive

Assemblyman Michael Durso (Massapequa Park) will be hosting a blood drive with the Incorporated Village of Massapequa Park, and the New York Blood Center on Thursday, May 6 from 12:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. This event will be held with proper COVID-19 guidelines in place, and appointments are preferred. Donors must wear a mask and will have their temperature taken. To schedule an appointment, please visit www.nybc.org/donate and enter Assemblyman Durso or call 1-800-933-BLOOD.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically depleted New York State’s blood supply to significantly low levels,” said Durso. “One single donation can save up to three lives. A steady supply of blood ensures doctors and other medical professionals are equipped with enough blood for everyday medical emergencies.”

Please remember to eat, drink and bring your donor ID card or ID with name and photo. For more information, please contact Assemblyman Durso’s district office at (516) 541-4598.
