Norris Supports 14-Day Sick Leave for All To Reduce Spread of Coronavirus
A Statement from Assemblyman Mike Norris (R,C,I,Ref-Lockport)
This week my colleagues in the Assembly Minority Conference and I also introduced legislation to protect our states small businesses by introducing the Small Business Emergency Recovery Act of 2020. Our plan would funnel $890 million in existing state resources into immediate relief for New Yorks small employers, delay taxes and fees for 180 days, and offer zero percent loans to small businesses to ensure they can continue to make payroll.
Additionally, as this virus continues to spread across our state and throughout the 144th Assembly District, I know constituents are becoming increasingly worried. We are all in this together and I strongly encourage you to take every precaution, including limiting any unnecessary travel outside of your home. I have no doubt that though we may face challenging times ahead, ultimately, our community will be even stronger.
