Get Your Mandatory Boating Safety Certification Today: As the weather starts to warm and boat season kicks off, it is important to remember to be responsible and keep each other safe. Make sure you always have proper safety equipment handy and operate watercraft responsibly! To operate a powerboat in NYS, the operator must be at least 10 years of age and complete this course. To operate a personal watercraft (Jetski, Waverunner, etc.). the operator must be at least 14 years of age and complete this course. This course is mandatory based upon the operator’s date of birth, per Brianna’s Law, which went in effect January 2020. SEATING IS EXTREMELY LIMITED so registration for all classes is REQUIRED.
