Tupper Lake Troll Takeover
This summer, The Wild Center in Tupper Lake is celebrating its 20th anniversary and as a part of the festivities, they have installed unique, folk-inspired giant Troll sculptures that will be hidden along the outdoor trails. Blending art, storytelling, and environmental stewardship, this outdoor exhibition invites exploration, creativity, and connection in a one-of-a-kind Adirondack setting.
What to Expect:
- Six massive troll sculptures, each with its own personality and message
- Themes of recycling, reuse, creativity, and environmental awareness
- Self-guided exploration along scenic outdoor trails
- A family-friendly experience for all ages

The Clinton County Historical Association has taken a leading role in coordinating the county’s America250 commemoration activities. The organization is focusing on volunteer engagement and regional storytelling about the county’s unique role in the founding of the nation. Their efforts include research, publishing, public lectures, and larger-scale community events.

The Battle of Valcour Reenactment, set for October 11, 2026 will be a centerpiece of the local celebrations, featuring a historical reenactment at Plattsburgh City Beach to mark the 250th anniversary of the battle.

Birding For All:
Birding for All is an Adirondack Land Trust program that provides a backpack, binoculars, and reference materials to a library’s circulating collection to facilitate local bird watching and outdoor activities. Each backpack and its contents exceed $725 in value. Birding for All is designed to expand access to birding by removing cost barriers to participation.
Each Birding for All backpack includes:
Binoculars: Vortex Viper HD 8X42 binoculars for clear and detailed viewing.
Field Guide: Sibley Birds East, a field guide for identifying birds.
Learning Materials: Instructions on how to use and care for binoculars.
Notebook: A shared logbook for users to record and share their bird sightings and experiences.
