Lt. Maureen Gill-Donohue Honored at Police Officers Memorial Remembrance Ceremony in Albany

Assemblyman Michael Tannousis (R,C-Staten Island/Brooklyn) was proud to host Detective Tom Donohue of the Staten Island District Attorney's Office in Albany for the Police Officers Memorial Remembrance Ceremony. Detective Donohue’s wife, NYPD Lieutenant Maureen Gill-Donohue, was one of 68 fallen police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty and whose names were added to the Police Memorial Wall. Lt. Gill-Donohue suffered from 9/11-related illnesses and lost her battle with cancer in 2022. Her name was engraved into the black granite police memorial wall and she joins 1,840 fallen officers and Ground Zero-related deaths.

“I was proud to welcome my good friend and former colleague from the Staten Island District Attorney’s Office, Detective Tom Donohue, for the Police Officers Memorial Remembrance Ceremony. His wife, Lieutenant Maureen Gill-Donohue, will be remembered forever as her name is now engraved on the Police Memorial Wall. We will always honor her bravery and sacrifice. Her memory will be eternal,” Tannousis said.
