Fresh Meadows, NY – Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D, Fresh Meadows) installed the new student government senators at M.S. 216 George J. Ryan. Both the students and the school community expressed excitement and pride as these young leaders took their oaths of office, ready to serve and represent their peers.

During the ceremony, Assemblywoman Rozic encouraged the new representatives to approach their roles with a spirit of service, inclusivity, and responsibility. She emphasized the importance of leadership in building a school environment where every student feels valued and heard. The newly installed senators will work with staff to organize events, advocate for student needs, and foster a sense of unity across M.S.216Q.

“It is inspiring to see so many students ready to take on leadership roles. Their enthusiasm and commitment to serving their school community is exactly why we need to support the next generation of thoughtful, engaged citizens. I look forward to seeing the great things they accomplish in the year ahead,” said Assemblywoman Nily Rozic.
