Rozic Allocates $3,000 in Funding to NYPD Community Councils
107, 109, and 111th Precinct Councils set to receive funds in support of National Night Out
Queens, NY – Today, Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D,WF-Fresh Meadows) announced $3,000 in funding for three New York City Police Department (NYPD) Community Councils in her district. The allocation is set for the 107th and 109th Precincts in Flushing and the 111th in Bayside.
“This funding is one of the many ways we can show support for our local precincts,” said Rozic. “I am happy to provide the Precinct Councils with resources that strengthen their community outreach and improve public safety.”
The announcement comes ahead of National Night Out – an annual summer event in which the NYPD teams up with local businesses and civic groups to organize anti-crime presentations and foster police/community partnership.
“We greatly appreciate the allocation from Assemblywoman Rozic. We rely on funding so that we can boost our financial situation and expand community support,” said Jack Fried, President of the 111th Precinct Council.
