New York, NY – Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D,WF-Fresh Meadows) gave remarks at an Assembly Real Property Taxation Committee hearing that was held to evaluate the City’s current property tax system. At the hearing, Rozic asked that the Department of Finance commit to expanding outreach in Queens where rates are among the highest. Last Friday’s hearing comes after Rozic expressed concerns on behalf of constituents who frequently look to her office for assistance with understanding property tax bills and ways to appeal their assessed value.
