Flushing, NY – To ring in the Year of the Monkey, Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D, WF-Fresh Meadows) visited several schools in district that celebrated Lunar New Year with student gatherings and performances. Rozic stopped by P.S. 120, P.S. 163Q, and P.S. 173Q and joined students and faculty in preparation for the new year. This year marked a special celebration in recognition of the first year in which NYC schools were closed in honor of Lunar New Year. Throughout her visits, Rozic thanked community members for their support in securing the school holiday and congratulated them on this important victory.
