Rozic Statement on Selection to Lindsay Fellowship Program
New York, NY – In response to being selected to participate in the Lindsay Fellowship Program’s Inaugural Class of 2017, Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D,WF-Fresh Meadows) issued the following statement:
“I am honored to join my colleagues in this year’s cohort and look forward to exchanging ideas and fostering conversation on state and local issues impacting our constituencies. These partnerships are essential to building community ties, as well as opportunities to strengthen the growing network of younger and newly elected members who have chosen a path of public service.”
The Lindsay Fellowship Program operates under the CUNY Institute for State and Local Governance. Rozic is 1 of 5 elected officials who make up this year’s class, and joins Assemblywoman Alicia Hyndman (D-St. Albans) as representatives from Queens. The announcement follows Rozic’s selection to the Governing Institute’s Women in Government Leadership Class of 2017, where she is the only New York legislator out of the twenty-five selected from across the nation.
