Rozic Statement on Pedestrian Fatality in Flushing

Flushing, NY – In response to the news that a pedestrian was struck while crossing Kissena Boulevard near Holly Avenue, Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D,WF-Fresh Meadows) issued the following statement:
“My deepest sympathies go out to the friends and family of the elderly woman who was tragically struck by a vehicle in my district yesterday and succumbed to her injuries today. My office is closely monitoring the situation and I am yet again calling on the Department of Transportation to work closely with the NYPD 109th Precinct and immediately assess the area to ensure safe roads for our seniors in Flushing.”
The victim was 81 years old and passed at New York-Presbyterian/Queens from injuries sustained.
