Rozic Scores a 100% on Environmental Issues from NY League of Conservation Voters
Statewide organization recognizes Rozic as rising star
New York, NY – State Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D,WF-Flushing) has earned a perfect score on the New York League of Conservation Voters’ 2017 Environmental Scorecard, and was named one of the League’s Rising Stars. The annual scorecard selects the most significant environmental bills in each legislative session and ranks each vote on key environmental bills.
“I am proud of my perfect score with the New York League of Conservation Voters, and applaud their work in transforming New York to a cleaner, greener, and environmentally-friendly state. From our health to our mass transit and economy, we are all impacted by the quality of our environment.” Rozic said. “I remain committed to introducing and supporting environmentally conscious legislation.”
Assemblywoman Rozic authored A1234, which would require the New York State Department of Transportation to disclose information on taxpayer funded capital projects. The bill is currently in the Assembly Transportation Committee.
This year, the NYLCV “graded” legislators on key bills dealing with renewable energy, mass transit, public health, and pollution, among others.
“The New York League of Conservation Voters congratulates Assemblywoman Rozic on her 100% rating on the 2017 environmental scorecard. We look forward to continuing our relationship and work with Ms. Rozic to tackle environmental issues both in her district and statewide,” said Marcia Bystryn, Executive Director of the New York League of Conservation Voters.
The record of the votes is available on the NYLCV website.
Assemblywoman Rozic represents the 25th District in northeast Queens, which includes Flushing, Queensboro Hill, Hillcrest, Fresh Meadows, Oakland Gardens, Bayside and Douglaston.
