Queens, NY – Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D-Fresh Meadows) gave the opening remarks at BQ GIRLHACKS, Queens College and Baruch College’s first all-girls hackathon. Rozic spoke with the participants – high school and college students – about the importance of women in the tech industries. Rozic, Chair of the Task Force on Women’s Issues and former Chair of the Subcommittee on Emerging Workforce, has long supported young women entering the STEM fields.
