Albany, NY – Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D,WF-Fresh Meadows) joined her colleagues at a press conference in support of legislation the Assembly passed today that would require that state law use gender neutral language in reference to police officers and firefighters. Rozic stood with Sarinya Srisakul, the first and only female Asian American firefighter in recognition of the diversity of New York’s workforce and the work that still needs to be done.
