Rozic Convenes Roundtable on New York’s Correctional System

Albany, NY – Advocates and legislators joined Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D,WF-Fresh Meadows) for a roundtable discussion on how New York’s correctional system impacts women. The group focused on ensuring access to proper and timely reproductive health care, programming equity, and placing mothers in facilities closest to their children.
Attendees included advocates from The Correctional Association of NY, The Women’s Prison Association, Cardozo Law School Civil Rights Clinic, The Osborne Association, Brooklyn Defender Services, and the National Council for Incarcerated & Formerly Incarcerated Women & Girls.
