Caguas, Puerto Rico – Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D-Fresh Meadows) visited Puerto Rico together with Israel’s New York Consulate on an IsraAID Day of Service. While on the island, Rozic distributed emergency preparedness kits and other resources to Nuestra Escuela in Caguas. Rozic is pictured here with Nuestra Escuela Executive Director Ana Yris Guzman and New York City Councilman Barry Grodenchik. Days after Hurricane Maria made landfall and caused massive destruction across the island, IsraAID arrived to assist emergency relief efforts. One year later, IsraAID is still on the ground supporting the island’s long-term recovery.
