Assemblymember Steck Announces $75,000 Grant for Young Parents United Inc.
Assemblymember Phil Steck (D-Colonie) announced a $75,000 grant to help fund and support Young Parents United Inc. in Schenectady. The organization helps invest in the future of Schenectady families by promoting positive change through numerous support programs, setting adolescent parents on a path toward greater success.
“Young Parents United provides an essential service to our community, helping local families and aiming to break the cycle of poverty,” Steck said. “Adolescent parents often lack support systems and face unique challenges, making parenthood difficult. The funding I secured for Young Parents United will ensure they can continue the great work they do for our neighbors in need.”
“We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Assemblyman Phil Steck for his support and advocacy for Young Parents United, said Ginni Egan, Executive Director of Young Parents United Inc. "His belief in our mission to assist teen and very young parents and their children is instrumental in enabling us to continue providing crucial resources and stabilize, educate and develop teens with children to grow as parents and individuals. Assemblymember Steck's dedication to our cause has not only strengthened our ability to serve our community but has also inspired us to strive for greater impact and change. We are grateful to have him as a champion for our organization"
