Welcome Letter

Welcome to my New York State Assembly Web page.

This page can help keep you informed about the work I do in Albany and in the community to build a fairer, stronger, healthier and more vibrant New York. You can learn about my work as chair of the Assembly Health Committee, laws I’ve helped write, legislation I’m sponsoring, the committees I serve on, work I'm doing in the community, and how to contact me. You can also read my latest press statements and Community Updates as well as other publications, and sign up for e-News.

You can use the entire Assembly Website to find out about new proposed bills and new laws. I encourage you to visit this site often to keep yourself up to date on issues, news, and legislative hearings.

I work for you full-time, year-round, in Albany and in the neighborhoods I represent. Although I am a lawyer, I do not maintain a private practice or any other employment. My only job is working for you.

If you live in the 75th Assembly District and wish to contact me on a State issue; if you are having a problem with a government agency, your landlord, a utility, or would like to report a traffic issue or illegal hotel, or need help filling out an application for assistance such as the Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption (SCRIE) or other programs or benefits; if your block association or other group needs my help or would like me to come to a meeting; or if there is any other way I can help, please click here to use the on-line contact form or call or e-mail my community office at 214 West 29th Street, suite 100, 212-807-7900, GottfriedR@nyassembly.gov. My staff and I are here to serve you.

Thank you for visiting my Web page!
