On Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, Assemblyman Sam Pirozzolo (R,C- Staten Island) hosted his office’s first Family Fun Day at Clove Lakes Park. This event included more than three dozen vendors from local businesses, nonprofit organizations and government agencies who provided an assortment of fun activities, giveaways and community resources. Family Fun Day enjoyed a steady continuous flow of children, parents, grandparents and caregivers throughout the day.
Activities presented by our partners included soccer training with Caru Training, family fitness demonstrations by Stronger with Marco, Zumba by the YMCA, CPR training by the FDNY and more. A special thank you to Stephanie Prendergast and the South Shore Community Food Pantry for graciously providing face painting for the children.
“I would like to thank every partner and Staten Islander who came out and made our first Family Fun Day event an amazing success,” said Assemblyman Pirozzolo. “It was a joy to witness what happens when those who care so deeply about our community come together to connect what they offer with those they serve. This culminated in a beautiful day for children with their families, and I could not be more excited to continue this event alongside others in the future. I am deeply honored that Staten Islanders have chosen me to represent them, and holding an event like this is one simple way to say thank you.”
