‘The Gray Area’ Discusses Events in the 116th Assembly District and Tourism Stop at Lake George
Assemblyman Scott Gray (R-Watertown) released the latest episode of “The Gray Area” video series. In this week’s episode, Gray recaps events from the past week and his discussions with Commissioner of Empire State Development Hope Knight and Rep. Claudia Tenney and the third stop of his Tourism Tour in Lake George.
“It was another busy week in the 116th Assembly District:
- On Monday, I attended Clarkson University’s 25th International Symposium on Chemical-Mechanical Planarization (CMP) in Lake Placid where I met with the Commissioner of Empire State Development, Hope Knight, and individuals from Micron, one of the world’s largest microchip manufacturers, which is bringing a microchip plant to Clay, New York.
- On Tuesday, I supported those opposing the border patrol station on Blind Bay. Negotiations are ongoing with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to find an alternate location, and we’re having some success there through our efforts with Rep. Claudia Tenney.
- Wednesday was the third stop of the Tourism Tour in Lake George, hosted by my colleague Assemblyman Matt Simpson. Tourism is vital to our economy and our small business community. During the remainder of the Tour and onward, I will continue to work hard to assist small businesses and to make our tourism industry successful.
- Great news on Thursday, more than $200,000 in capital improvements for local libraries was awarded by the New York State Library, a part of the New York State Education Department, to three locations within the 116th district.”
“Look out for next week’s episode of The Gray Area as we will be updating you on upcoming events such as two United States Department of Agriculture forums in September, the Black Lake boat launch and reconstituting Horne’s Ferry between Wolfe Island and Cape Vincent. We always appreciate the opportunity to serve you and to work with you. Don’t hesitate to call my office staff with questions, comments or concerns—see you soon,” Gray concluded.
