Assemblyman Scott Gray (R-Watertown) and Sen. Mark Walczyk (R, C-49th Senate District) are expressing appreciation for the decision made by New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli in non-approving the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation’s contract for vessels. The thorough review comes after community members and state legislators voiced concerns over the bid process, citing potential irregularities and discrepancies.

This decision aligns with many of the elected officials’ concerns and demonstrates a commitment to upholding the highest standards of procurement practices, as well as represents the importance of transparency, fairness and accountability in all business dealings. Gray and Walczyk are pleased to see Comptroller DiNapoli affirm these concerns.
