Leader Barclay and Colleagues Call For More Funding For Local Roads
Today, Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C,I-Pulaski) joined colleagues from the Assembly and Senate Minority Conferences, as well as infrastructure stakeholders, to call for an increase in funding for New York’s local roads, bridges and culverts. Specifically, they are calling on the governor to increase funding for the Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS) in the 2022-23 State Budget.
Leader Barclay and the Assembly Minority Conference will continue to advocate on behalf of local highway departments to ensure they get the proper funds to adequately maintain safe roads and bridges across New York state.
