For nearly two weeks each summer, the Great New York State Fair transforms Central New York into one of the state’s most beloved annual traditions. Each year, the Fair draws hundreds of thousands of attendees from across New York, a true testament to its popularity and lively atmosphere. This year’s live musical acts promise to impress with performances from fan favorites and chart-toppers including KIDZ BOP, DJ Pauly D, Maddie & Tae, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The lineup offers something for music lovers of all ages. Chevy Court and Suburban Park host shows throughout the day, giving guests plenty of opportunities to catch a single act or multiple performances. A full schedule of performances can be found here.
Beyond the music, fairgoers can explore a wide range of attractions and exhibits across the grounds. Animal lovers can take in the Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show and interactive exhibits, while gardening and outdoor enthusiasts can explore the colorful Flower Show and the bountiful Produce Show. And, of course, no visit is complete without the food—whether it’s a longtime favorite or one of the new health-conscious options, be sure to bring your appetite.
Daily admission is $8 for adults, while children 12 and under, as well as seniors, can enter free of charge. Visitors can take advantage of the free tram service running continuously throughout the Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. There will also be a complimentary shuttle operating between the Gray Accessible Parking area and the Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
