Barclay Announces Summer Reading Program
Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I-Pulaski) is pleased to once again sponsor the Assembly Summer Reading Challenge.
Students who read at least 15 minutes per day for 40 days this summer will receive a certificate from Barclay’s office and be invited to a Summer Reading Challenge party. Kids can track their progress on an official registration calendar provided on the reading challenge form.
“One of the best things our office can promote for young people is a love of reading. To spark a child’s intellectual curiosity at a young age is a lifelong gift,” said Barclay. “I enjoy meeting the children and recognizing them for their hard work and dedication each year at the Summer Reading Challenge party.”
Local schools distributed many registration forms in June. Forms also are available at your local library and at Barclay’s office. After the challenge is completed and filled out, families can mail or drop off their completed forms to Assemblyman Barclay, 200 North Second St., Fulton, NY 13069.
