“I was pleased to learn that the state has officially opened the application process for homeowners affected by the devastating floods. I have continually pushed for all private property owners affected by the floods to be eligible for state funds. It is my understanding that private businesses such as marinas may also qualify for assistance. This is welcome news and more details will be forthcoming.

“For now, homeowners’ only have until Oct. 31 to apply so it is important that those eligible apply as soon as possible. Secondary homeowners should also apply. Though funding preference will be given to primary homeowners, I will keep pushing for more recovery funds to be allocated for all private property owners. In addition, I will continue to push for the revocation of Plan 2014.”
