Statement from Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay
I would like to extend best wishes to my friend Senate Minority Leader John Flanagan upon the announcement that he will leave office later this month. His dedication to his conference and constituents will be greatly missed by his friends and colleagues in the Legislature.
For more than 30 years, Johns leadership, experience and passion for public policy were clear to all those who had the good fortune to work with him. His substantial accomplishments are truly indicative of his work ethic and political acumen. John spent decades in both the Assembly and Senate working to improve the quality of life for the people of Long Island and for all the residents of our great state.
I wish him the best of luck as he begins a new chapter of his career and I know he will find great success in his future endeavors.
