Albany needs to pay you your refund on time, too.
“You’ve done your fair share. Now it’s Albany’s turn.”
Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther
Saying “no” to delayed tax refunds
The governor wants to put your income tax refund on hold. Under the governor’s plan, all New Yorkers – even those who file their taxes electronically – would be forced to wait months for a refund. It’s estimated that this will delay the return of more than $500 million until the next fiscal year.
Call the governor at 518-474-8390 and tell him you can’t afford to wait for your income tax refund.Cutting spending
Tough choices and painful cuts must be made. Every program and agency must scale back, and every cut must be considered. You can’t spend more than you have, and Albany can’t either. New York families have had to tighten their belts – the state now has to tighten its belt.
