Farmers markets create vibrant spaces that bring community members of all ages and backgrounds together to enjoy local goods and fresh air, and to interact with their friends and neighbors.
The WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program automatically provides checks/coupons to eligible women, infants and children through the Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) to use at farmers markets. The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program provides similar checks/coupons on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible low-income seniors age 60 and over.
I encourage you to visit some of the local markets listed in this pamphlet. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact my office at (845) 342-9304..
Sincerely,
Aileen Gunther
