Steve Hawley:
“Creating more laws will NOT prevent outlaws from breaking laws.”
Assemblyman Hawley has opposed, and will continue to oppose, more state regulations and restrictions
on our Second Amendment rights.
The new restrictions would:
- Mandate expensive and ineffective micro-stamping capabilities on firearms
- Require the costly renewal of pistol licenses every five years
- Create unnecessary red tape mandates that will put firearm manufacturers out of business
Steve supports legislation that would:
- Provide property tax exemptions for land that supports hunting
- Create a junior big game hunting license
- Establish a $100,000 real property tax exemption for conservation and rod and gun clubs
- Eliminate the failed CoBIS ammunition tracking program that has cost taxpayers $36 million and never solved a crime
