As soon as the 2006 legislative session begins in Albany, I will strongly support all measures, including civil confinement, that would further protect our women and children from dangerous, repeat sex offenders. I also favor:

• Strengthening Megan’s Law
• Longer prison terms for persons convicted of crimes against women and children.

Requiring the state to assume the costs of Medicaid would ease our local tax burdens and pass the savings to homeowners and small-business proprietors. I support:

• The state takeover of Medicaid
• Easing the burden of Medicaid on our localities
• Returning Medicaid savings to hard-working families.

I look forward to voting for tax cuts that would put hard-earned money back in your pockets and help:

• Attract new businesses to grow our economy
• Slash state bureaucracy, burdensome regulations and stifling business taxes
• End wasteful government spending and return savings to taxpayers.
