Our economy relies on the health of our local municipalities. That is why Joe Giglio is working to
ensure that municipalities throughout Cattaraugus County receive state aid to improve infrastructure,
promote economic growth, and prosper. This year, Joe helped secure:

5% Increase from the Aid & Incentives for Municipalities Program-$3.96 million in direct state
aid to help deliver services to the residents of our local towns, villages and cities in Cattaraugus
County
|
|
20% Increase in Consolidated Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS) Funding for
Cattaraugus County, Towns, Villages and Cities-$5.45 million to help municipalities finance the
construction, reconstruction, or improvement of local roads, bridges, and road-railroad crossings

Providing Funding for Local Libraries
Libraries are an essential part of the community, and that is why Joe continues his fight to
ensure they have the resources to meet the needs of their communities. This year, Joe helped
secure $269,052 in general aid for Southern Tier libraries.
Joe also helped secure library funding in the State Budget to help local libraries with their various
reconstruction and renovation projects.
