I would be honored to have you attend as we salute women veterans from across New York State. Please join me at 11:30 a.m. for our recognition ceremony. I sincerely hope you will be among those in attendance. As part of this ceremony, there will be a special recognition of women veterans who have returned from Iraq and Afghanistan. If you are planning to attend, we ask that you let us know ahead of time to make sure you receive proper recognition. While in Albany, I encourage you to visit the Women Veterans Memorial adjacent to the Empire State Plaza. Spearheaded by the Assembly Subcommittee on Women Veterans, the Memorial was unveiled in 1998 as a permanent and well-deserved tribute to the service and sacrifices of New York’s women veterans. My colleagues and I look forward to welcoming you personally as the Assembly honors these special New York women for their dedication and service to our country. My personal best wishes to all!
P.S. - Please share this invitation with any women veterans you may know. |
