Oswego Public Library Hosts Leader Barclay’s Summer Reading Party

Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C-Pulaski) recently held his Summer Reading Challenge Reward Party at the Oswego Public Library. More than 60 kids from the 120th Assembly District participated in the challenge this year, which required them to read for at least 15 minutes for 40 days during July and August. All who participated were invited to attend a reading celebration with their family members on Sunday, Sept. 24. Participants were awarded certificates and a gift card to River’s End Bookstore. The day also included making arts & crafts provided by the CNY Community Arts Center, snacks, reading a story and selecting books from the Oswego Bookmobile.
