| Enacts the sexual assault reform act; relates to administering a controlled substance for the purpose of committing certain sexual offenses; amends the public health law relating to designating gamma hydroxybutyric acid as a controlled substance and the criminal sale and possession of such substance; amends the criminal procedure law relating to prohibiting issuance of an order of recognizance or bail to certain persons convicted of a sexual offense or offense involving a sexual performance by a child; amends the executive law relating to training of police officers for crimes involving sexual assault; establishes a statewide sexual assault forensic examiner program; prohibits certain sex offenders placed on conditional release or parole from entering upon school grounds or other facilities where children are cared for; relates to sentences for sexual assault against a child contacted by use of the internet; relates to eligibility to receive awards from the crime victims board, treatment of sex offenders, testimony of youthful witnesses, sex offender registry, access to the "900" number under the sex offender registry and notification program, training of child protective services workers; establishes a rape crisis intervention and prevention program. |
