Miller, Students Make Valentines for Seniors
Assemblyman Brian Miller (R,I-New Hartford) joined the first graders at Ostrander Elementary in Wallkill to make Valentines to be delivered to seniors at the Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Miller also spoke to the students about the importance of being kind to others while explaining how much their project will mean to the seniors, some of whom may not receive any Valentines this year.
“I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to spend time with the first grade classes at Ostrander Elementary,” said Miller. “The students poured all their hearts and creativity into this project and the seniors at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center were so happy to receive their Valentines. The students and I also spoke about the importance of being kind to others, which is something lacking in today’s world. As simple as it sounds, being kind to one another can make a lot of the issues we are facing today disappear.”
