Miller On 2020 State Of The State
A Statement from Assemblyman Brian Miller (R,I,C,Ref-New Hartford)
There is no shortage of challenges facing the people of our state right now, and what we need this session is swift and well-thought-out action to solve the very real and dangerous problems at play. We must immediately address glaring issues with bail reform measures that are putting dangerous, repeat offenders back onto the street. Another point of emphasis for this year needs to be making an historic investment in improving Upstates infrastructure to prevent future flooding and the dangers of crumbling roads and bridges. I would also like to see investments made to support our rural emergency services and, of course, I would like to see Albany keep spending in line in order to protect already-overburdened taxpayers. With the lives, livelihoods, and properties of our residents at risk, there are no more important tasks for our state to address. I am ready to work with my colleagues to tackle these priorities.
