Maher Appointed as Ranking Minority Member for Children & Families; Assigned to Key Committees
Assemblyman Brian Maher (R,C-Walden) has been appointed by Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay to serve as ranking Minority member of the Assembly Committee on Children & Families. In addition, he has been selected to serve on several influential committees, including Mental Health, Alcoholism & Drug Abuse, Health, Education and Housing.
Maher’s appointments reflect his dedication to addressing the pressing needs of families, mental health resources, accessible child care and critical public services across New York state. As ranking Minority member of Children & Families, Maher will prioritize advocating for policies that strengthen support systems, ensure the welfare of children and empower families across the state.
