Our 5th Annual Strolling For Life Event
Bronx, NY – In partnership with the Bronx Healthy Start Program, Assembly Member Chantel Jackson, LMSW, hosted a walk and resource fair at Joyce Kilmer Park to raise awareness about infant mortality and maternal health. We invited other Bronx elected officials and community organizations to attend.
During the event, attendees received childcare and family planning resources from multiple agencies, including The Door, NYC Administration for Children's Services, and the Day Care Council of New York. Bronx Healthy Start ended the event with a free stroller giveaway to expecting mothers who joined us for the event.
The Bronx Healthy Start Partnership at Albert Einstein College of Medicine focuses on impacting the health of women, infants, and children in the first eighteen months of life and their families by providing access to and education about health services and reproductive life planning. Healthy Start supports women before, during, and after pregnancy by addressing their health and social service needs, strengthening family resilience, and engaging community partners to enhance care systems.
