Friend Meets With Members Of Local Youth Organizations

Assemblyman Christopher Friend (R- Big Flats) welcomed members of the Chemung County Youth Board, Horseheads Youth Bureau, Elmira Youth Court, Horseheads Youth Council, and Horseheads Youth Court to his Albany office. Friend spoke with the youth leaders about a range of topics from Albany politics to specific concerns of the group. The group was comprised of involved young people who have displayed leadership skills in their organizations and their communities. The group attended the annual Association of New York State Youth Bureau’s Leadership Conference.
“It was a treat to get to speak to such a great group of young people,” said Friend. “They all have displayed an uncommon dedication to their communities and to their peers. The various youth bureaus, councils and courts represented by these great young leaders do an amazing job of providing opportunities to learn and develop leadership skills. I am truly grateful for the great staffs and volunteers of these organizations that help shape the future leaders of our community, state and country.”
