A Tip for the Governor: Let Us Speak
February 16, 2018
Assemblyman Christopher Friend (R,C,I,Ref-Big Flats) is concerned by the governor’s proposal to eliminate tipped wages throughout the state. There have been 7 total hearings scheduled and not one is in the Southern Tier. This is just another issue highlighting where the governor’s priorities lie, which do not include upstate and certainly not the Southern Tier.
“I call on the governor to include the Southern Tier in the tipped wage hearings,” Friend said. “This is a critical issue to so many hard working people, and to simply ignore their opinions is greatly troubling. Our workers and employers deserve the opportunity to have their voices heard at a local hearing in the Southern Tier.”
