Assemblymember Didi Barrett’s Diner Stop Tour Makes Her District Office Mobile
In an effort to maintain a constant and open line of communication with constituents across the Mid-Hudson Valley, Assemblymember Didi Barrett (D-Mid Hudson) is starting her second annual Diner Stop Tour on Friday, Feb. 15.
“I am fortunate to represent so many hardworking families and community members throughout the expansive and diverse Mid-Hudson Valley,” Assemblymember Barrett said. “From day one, it has always been my top priority to give their biggest concerns a voice in Albany. The Diner Stop Tour affords me the opportunity to do just that by giving me a chance to speak with them, face-to-face.”
The first Diner Stop Tour of 2013 will take place on Friday, Feb. 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Eveready Diner in Hyde Park, located on Route 9 at 4184 Albany Post Road.
“I firmly believe that elected officials should be accessible to the communities they represent,” Assemblymember Barrett said. “Listening to the community and helping to solve their problems is precisely what makes the Diner Stop Tour so successful. Last year, I met and heard from local officials, families and small-business owners on issues ranging from high-traffic intersections to attracting more jobs to the region. That type of open and honest communication helps me focus on what really matters most to Mid-Hudson Valley families.”
